Ingrid did her MBA at the HFU Business School. There were 16 students from 14 different countries in her class. Ingrid chose the MBA programme because she deemed it to be very accessible compared to other renowned programs worldwide and because the HFU ranks highly among German universities. Plus, Ingrid had known one of the professors from the HFU for many years. She also valued the university’s close geographical proximity to different European countries. Even though the HFU is a small university, it is very international. As Ingrid puts it: “The essence comes in little jars”, meaning that even though the HFU is a small university, it has highly qualified professors and is very diverse in terms of multiculturality.
After graduating, Ingrid started as a sales trainee for the Austrian company “Semperit AG”. She worked her way up and became Head of Sales EMEA & LATAM. Her MBA and her time at the HFU Business School have greatly contributed to her career. Her experience, for example, helped her integrate herself into the new workplace, which is very diverse. Ingrid is still in touch with many of her fellow students – some of them are like family to her. After her graduation Ingrid joined the Alumni Association (ibaa e.V.) and is an active member of the Vienna Hub.
When asked what advice she would give to prospective students, Ingrid replied: “Enjoy the time you have at the HFU Business School and use the opportunity to connect with alumni and with students from different programs and with representatives from different companies because these connections can be a great asset in the future.”
